"This is back to back perfection." 100/100 point - Sam Kim, The Wine Orbit Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot og Cabernet Franc fra Te Mata Estates bedste marker i Hawkes Bay. 100 point - Sam Kim, The Wine Orbit: "This is another phenomenal wine of sophistication and sublime seduction. The palate delivers awesome concentration and weight, together with silky texture and fleshy mouthfeel, while remaining elegant and refreshing. Once again Coleraine offers spectacular complexity, refinement and presence with an undeniable potential to evolve magnificently. This is back to back perfection. 100/100" - Sam Kim, The Wine Orbit 96 point - Huon Hooke: "Very deep purple red colour, very young looking and immature. The bouquet is all violets and blackberry, with a veneer of nutty oak, and the whole thing oozes class. It’s full-bodied, rich and powerful, a sumptuously flavoured wine with ample soft tannins and great structure. Great fruit depth and power, lashings of tannin, all in harmony, and the tannins are smooth and ripe and agreeable. This needs a lot more time and will be very long lived. Drink 2018 to 2038." 98 point/Five Stars - Bob Campbell, Master of Wine "Rich, quite dense and predictably classy wine, with red and black berry fruits, spice, anise and spicy oak flavours. Beautifully structured red - high energy with lovely integration of fruit and oak. A wine that more than lives up to its stellar reputation." "When Coleraine was first made in 1982, it was light years ahead of any New Zealand red wine produced before that date. It has since become the country's most iconic wine label." - Decanter 2015 Robert Parker: "I conjectured whether this is New Zealand's greatest wine? Well, let me put it this way, it is the front runner."
